Our Approach
Your child deserves to be known, cherished, and believed in. We are building Ritter Academy with your child in mind—their strengths, their story, and the possibilities ahead.
The DDP model is the foundation of our planned relational approach. Drawing on Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), we will apply its relationship-centered principles to the educational environment, with PACE—Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy—guiding everyday interactions.
Ritter Academy is a developing nonprofit private school for children impacted by foster care, adoption, developmental trauma, and attachment disruption. Strong academics, small classes, predictable routines, and executive-function support will come together with movement, creativity, outdoor learning, and family partnership.
We are first and foremost a school. Our use of DDP principles will support classroom relationships and learning while complementing, rather than replacing, parent-child therapy.
